A feminist icon, the notorious RBG became the young generation culture icon in her later years. A tiny fragile frame hid within it a fierce force to reckon by. She became known for her dissents in the court, and even had a "dissenting collar" that she adorned on those court days.
Born in 1933 in the USA to a furrier father and a factory worker mother, RBG was determined to excel in a gender-biased world. Gender discrimination continued to influence her life and career all the way until she was appointed Supreme Court Justice . In 2016, she made the headlines again when she called out President Trump as a "faker" in front of the whole world. She spent a good part of her life fighting cancer and later on died in Sept of 2020 at the age of 87. She was the first woman to lie in state which is a great honour that allowed for her remains to be placed in the US Capitol in Washington, DC, to allow the public to pay their respects. This tribute is considered one of the highest honors.
